check it out on the links below. a weight cut day is,basically, the day before a fight happens, fighters haveto meet their weight class, and if you're hovering a little bit above, you have to do a bunch of activities and dehydration techniquesto lose the water weight in your body so you canmeet your weight class. - but the reason we wantto do the weight cut is because we're tryingto fully immerse ourselves


in the experience of aprofessional mma fighter, and this is part of that experience. - at this point in time, we have been fasting for 16 hours. (women squealing)yum. - ♫ i feel gross ♫ this is really gross ♫ - alright, now we gotta put on this thing. - made out of-


- oh no, this feels so gross. oh no, like already, likethe temperature went up like one degree.- i think this is pretty cool. how do i look? i feel like we're in aweird 80's skiing movie. (jazz music) you know, like we're about to fight this snowboarder from the mountain? - oh yeah, like in johnny tsunami?


(hands clapping)- yeah, no. - alright, so now i think wehave to go on a 20 minute run. - that's like two miles. - get things hot.- i might not come back. - i'm so slimy and wet.- thank you. - it's disgusting. okay.- i'm pumped. just kidding, i feel like shit. (dance music)


(kicks landing) - to me it doesn't matterwhether you guys make the 27 percent weight cut or not. this is just about the experience. making sure you guys just understand what the guys and girls go through - i'm thirsty.- just imagine this. 30 minutes.at 11:30, you get to drink and to eat.- we can do it.


- [coach] alright let's go. get back to work. (girls panting) - i think that this, this and this, is a great example of whyyou shouldn't try to do this to lose weight if you'retrying to lose weight for like a normal person. - i don't have anything to say other than i need a glass of water.

(jordan groaning) - that was pretty hard andwe only had a small taste of what fighters go throughin a full day weight cut. - mmhmm, we barely didit for like an hour. - i have an incrediblerespect for everyone who is a pro mma fighter.


- or anyone who ever has tomeet a weight cut in general. - yeah, like people in crew and in boxing. the work you do in the gym is one thing, but then having to do thisthe day before a competition when you should beresting, is so miserable. no but for real, if they do xenon, youknow, number four, you guys should hire us as stunt doubles.
